John Baugh has over thirty years’ experience as a Headmaster. (He was once the youngest appointed Headmaster in the UK.)
He is currently the Executive Director of St. Andrew's School, Turi, Kenya.
He has been Head of three independent UK Prep Schools, his final appointment being Headmaster of the renowned Dragon School, Oxford, for fifteen years.
He has been a member of the Independent Preparatory Schools Association Governing Council and Chairman of their Education Committee.
He has also been Chairman of the UK Boarding Schools’ Association.
He has written numerous articles and papers for educational journals and publications and is a regular speaker at educational conferences.
He has undertaken many inspections for the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
He has performed appraisals of Heads and Senior Management for many prep and senior schools.

John Baugh is currently a senior advisor to the Board of the Need Corporation in Japan on the planning and preparation of the Jinseki International School. The School is now open and is Japan’s first boarding Prep school. The school, set in the most glorious location of Jinseki, has a bold vision to offer an outstanding educational experience. Via the NEED Corporation, the school has secured a significant investment to enable it to open in first-class facilities, invest in the recruitment and development of excellent staff and take its place amongst the very best Prep Schools in the world. Pupils will benefit from a full, challenging and creative curriculum with expert teaching and wide-ranging extra-curricular activities.
